I believe we’re more alike than we are different. 💜 We want the same things for our families. How we all get there looks differently, but reaching across the aisles, listening to truly understand, not pretending to know what it’s like to walk in the other person’s shoes, and working together is far more powerful than hating one another.

I’m speaking to myself here too when I hear or see people say things that make me want to fly off the handle! But engaging in that, blaming them, or complaining doesn’t bring change or peace. It just creates a bigger divide.

I’m starting with me today and choosing to control what I can, change what I can and see the humans behind the labels, even when it’s really, really hard for me sometimes. 💜

I don’t know how we got to 7 so fast. 🥺

Our girl is sweet and kind and hilarious and loves all things unicorns, rainbows, and arts and crafts.

Mommy and daddy are still her favorites 😍 (although is a verrrrry close second).

She can use the microwave and do the dishes and some days I look at her and think wow, she’s so big! But then she’ll give us a smile or a giggle and her eyes will crinkle and that innocent toddler is still right under the surface.

It’s one of the greatest joys of my life to be this girl’s mama. 🩷🩷🩷 Happy 7th birthday to our sweet Charley May! 🎂
