There comes a time when you simply know you are being called to do something different. It may not make sense to everyone else, and it may even be difficult to explain, but when that feeling is placed on your heart, you understand it.
For the past five years, we have poured an incredible amount of time, work, thought, and investment into creating this beautiful property. What started as a vision became the perfect place for our family—our own private sanctuary. It has been a place to gather, enjoy one another, make countless memories, and truly feel at home.
We are incredibly proud of what we have created here, which makes the decision to move in a different direction bittersweet. But life has seasons, and sometimes you recognize when one season is ending and another is beginning.
We may not know exactly where the next chapter will lead, but we have learned to trust the direction God places on our hearts. Not everyone will understand the decision, and that’s okay. A calling doesn’t always have to make sense to everyone else—it simply has to be clear to the person being called.
So, with grateful hearts for the memories we have made and excitement for what lies ahead, we are now prepared to pass our family compound on to someone else who will love and enjoy it as much as we have.
