Hello Avid Readers: I retired in September, 2023 so that I could finish and publish my novel A FIELD GUIDE TO THE ANGELS IN BROOKLYN. I have completed that task.

A FIELD GUIDE TO THE ANGELS IN BROOKLYN tells a story about the beautiful borough of Brooklyn in Nieuw Amsterdam Stad, where we meet minor, midrange, and Major Arcana Devils who are cab drivers, bartenders, police officers, ruthless criminals, lawyers, and art gallery owners. This book is also about Angels Unfallen, principally Alastar Connor, the very confused Earth Angel, plus other mid-level angels who masquerade as humans. One of these is a hippy who has passed his use-by date, and others are the extraordinary women who are Alastar Connor’s best (and only) hope for staying on the right side of universal history. Alastar Connor owns the 83 Gallery in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. When not selling surrealist art, he enjoys spending his time with his soul mate, Sheila Divine, and friends in Corlear Beach. Alastar doesn’t know it yet, but he is about to be misidentified as a Fallen Cherub by the name of Alastarus, who was recently freed from the Lake of Fire by the Fallen Cherub Goochelaar Kwaad. It is Kwaad, self-absorbed and vain, who sets in motion a series of events which will cause Alastar, Sheila, and their friends to participate in possibly universe-ending events. I am retiring on September 15, 2023, after 32 years of practicing law. Antoine R. Gadpaille, my partner, is continuing the practice as ARG LAW. He is an excellent lawyer and a brilliant advocate. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve my clients in Brea and Orange County since 1992. I will be spending my retirement writing speculative fiction, with my first novel due out by January 1, 2024.

The New Year has been an exciting time for me and my practice. We have been able to focus more of our energy and efforts on estate planning and so far marketing plan seems to be okay.

The office is now "luxe", fresh colorful paint, a new desktop and new carpets. Photos to come. Stop by if you would like a tour.

The Office has been getting a little down in the heels looking, so we are going to get it painted this coming Monday. It will be gold and green. I am off to select the paint in a few minutes. I have to box everything in the office by Sunday and then unbox everything in the office by Tuesday. This is going to be a lot of fun and I believe well worth the effort.

After almost six years in my "New Office," I finally had High Signs come and finish my Sign. It now actually says what it is that I do above the door. Anthony who operates High signs did a great job I think. Now all I have to do is learn how to post a good picture. The best idea would probably be to drop by and see for yourself.
