We are already looking forward to our next gathering at the wetlands, and we would love to have you join us for Seeds of Great Content (sponsored by Middleton Law Offices and Custom Garden Solutions)!

This will be a relaxed afternoon at the farm where we’ll gather native seeds from the wetland flora, spend some time learning more about the land and the conservation work taking place there, and talk a little about estate planning and the legacies we each hope to leave behind.

And, because it would not be one of our gatherings without good food, we’ll also have a spread of Mexican food! We'll have barbacoa, street corn, and agua fresca. Guests are encouraged to bring fruit, herbs, or other ingredients to contribute to the agua fresca if they would like.

Don’t expect a legacy from your parents.

Justice in Aging highlights that 75% of older Medicaid enrollees die with a net wealth of less than \(\$48,500\). Because nursing home costs are so high, a home is typically the only significant asset left, often forcing grieving families to sell it to reimburse the state

Proper planning can preserve a legacy. Doing nothing or basic Will or transfer on death planning is not a solution.

Whenever we talk about estate planning, we like to shine a light on the impact we will leave on the world after we leave it. Working with the state to help improve the environment by converting the historic Middleton Farm back to a wetland has been a passion for many years. We’re honored to share a meaningful example of how thoughtful planning can leave a lasting impact on our community.
The Harper family recently took an important step to support future generations through a planned gift to Bowling Green State University. Their gift will honor the career and achievements of Mary Ellen Mazey, BGSU’s 11th president. In addition to funding a new lab on campus, their donation will support students studying biology, math, music, art and nursing!
What makes this especially powerful is that this gift was made possible through careful estate planning, ensuring their values and priorities will continue to make a difference for years to come.
