We’re Hiring: Experienced Litigation Attorney

Byrd & Byrd, LLC is growing, and we are looking for an experienced litigation attorney with Maryland Circuit Court trial experience to join our team.

We are seeking an attorney who is comfortable in the courtroom and capable of independently managing a civil litigation caseload from initial evaluation through trial. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of civil litigation experience and meaningful first-chair or significant second-chair Circuit Court trial experience.

The position involves regular court appearances, depositions, motions practice, discovery, mediation and settlement negotiations, legal research and writing, trial preparation, and direct client representation.

What we’re looking for:
• Maryland Bar admission required
• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience
• Maryland Circuit Court trial experience required
• Strong courtroom and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
• Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
• D.C. Bar admission is a plus

Byrd & Byrd, LLC Achieves Courtroom Victory in Maryland Consumer Protection Case

Byrd & Byrd is pleased to announce a successful outcome on behalf of a client in an auto repair dispute tried in the District Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County.

Following a full-day trial, trial attorney Daniel J. Bierc, Esq. secured a verdict awarding our client monetary damages of $15,000 and the return of his classic car, which had been wrongfully retained by an auto repair shop. The court found violations of the Maryland Consumer Protection Act, recognizing the shop’s improper conduct toward our elderly client, who had invested thousands of dollars in vehicle repairs.
