COLORADO UPDATE - FGI
There are some new updates from CDPHE re: FGI compliance reviews.
1. We intervened to ensure that FGI review is NOT needed when an existing ALR wants to upgrade its licensure to secured memory care. (If you are having trouble on this, pls let us know).
2. CDPHE reported yesterday that it's queue for FGI review is significantly reduced, especially for residential facilities.
3. The Dept. reminds applicants to ensure that the correct name of the licensed entity is used on the FGI application and through the licensing process. (We have seen this cause confusion, so it is important to be diligent on this point. Pls reach out if you need help setting up your entities prior to filing your license application).

Victory for Colorado Assisted Living Providers!

This important legislation means that assisted living residences in Colorado can now increase capacity without undergoing the costly and time-consuming FGI review—as long as no new construction is required.
