Authorities are investigating the tragic death of a worker after an incident at a construction site in Swampscott, MA, on Monday afternoon. Police responded to the Aggregate Industries facility at 30 Danvers Road after receiving a 911 call reporting an issue with a rock crusher suspended above the site’s quarry. Our deepest condolences go out to the victim's family and the larger Swampscott community.

One in ten construction personnel is injured annually, and even a single death on a job site is unacceptable. Today marks the ten-year anniversary of the death of Odin Lloyd at the hands of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

In addition to announcing the recall of the Ultra-Lite Day and Night Play Yard, Fisher-Price has re-announced the recall of its Rock ‘n Play Sleepers due to continued infant deaths. Since the original recall for the Rock ‘n Play Sleepers was announced in April of 2019, dozens of additional fatalities have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to approximately 100, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Inclined sleepers are known to be dangerous for children and go against the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for safe infant sleeping environments. While it’s illegal to sell or distribute these recalled sleepers, parents should be aware that many of the 4.7 million impacted products remain in circulation, particularly in the resale market. Consumers in possession of the Rock ‘n Play Sleeper are advised to stop using the product immediately.

Storefront crashes are an epidemic in this country and the accident that occurred on November 21 at the Derby Street Apple store was inexcusable. Precautions should have been taken to protect the public. Victims deserve full and fair justice as fast as possible.

We have retained nationally renowned experts and determined that these catastrophic injuries were 100% preventable. The firm is already in the process of filing a lawsuit against the owner, developer and manager of the property, as well as Apple and the driver of the truck that crashed into the store. Spoliation letters have been sent in order to preserve evidence.
