Jury breaks for the weekend; still no verdict in Emmanuel Lopes trial, charged with killing Weymouth cop and one civilian in 2018. Lopes has pled NGI- not guilty due to insanity.

CBS Boston caught up with Attorney Urbelis to ask about the legal proceedings against Patriots cornerback Jack Jones, who’s facing mandatory prison time for charges relating to bringing loaded fi****ms to Logan airport.

Note: in Attorney Urbelis’ comment regarding illegal searches, I’d been discussing the factors defense attorneys often look at in cases involving these charges. The legality of the search will not likely be a major factor in this case, as all bags being brought through TSA (such as Jones’ carry-on) are subject to search.
