Never Alone. This page is dedicated to passing a bill in the Massachusetts state legislature that will ensure at least one person is allowed to be in the hospital or other health care setting, with a patient, at all times. This includes private and public hospitals and health care settings. Whether there is a national pandemic or not.
This bill also seeks to pass a law allowing clergy and chaplains the ability to administer last rites as prescribed by their faith, with no stipulations.
Patients need an advocate and support, while at the same time, relieving some of the burden on healthcare staff. Allowing at least one individual to assist a patient should be a basic human right at all times.
