Member Story – Comparable Rental Car after Accident:

“I am a single female and was recently involved in an accident.

I drove my Subaru to the auto body shop yesterday and they deemed it “unsafe” to drive. I told the insurance company that I wanted a comparable rental (something that’s all wheel drive). They said that would be acceptable.

I got to Enterprise and the gentleman helping me said. “Okay, just sign here for the Ford Focus”. I looked at him surprised and said “That’s not all wheel drive” and his response was “You’re right”.

I told him I needed something as good as my car in the snow and his reaction was “Sorry”. Your car is a 4 door sedan, so that’s the kind of rental that you get”.

I tried to get him to change it, but he wouldn’t and neither would the supervisor, so I asked, “Is that your final answer”?

When they replied “Yes”, I said “Ok. Excuse me for a minute while I call my attorney”.

I took out my phone and dialed the number for my LegalShield℠ provider law firm and before I could finish telling the woman on the other end what was going on, they said “you know what?…..

We may have something for you”. 10 minutes later, I was driving away in this brand spanking new Ford F150 that had only 3… that’s right 3 miles on it!

When I first became a member I received correspondence from BAC Tax Service saying we owed land taxes. They included copies of large checks they supposedly wrote to Caddo Parish.
I called my provider law firm & ask them did I need to find cancelled checks or do research at the court house. Their reply was "NO!" $116.08 is something you wouldn't normally want to contact a $250 hour attorney for but Legal Shield certainly took another barking chiwawa out of my ear! "We have now concluded our investigation." 😉
