Team Member Spotlight: Joseph A. Gugino brings more than 30 years of legal experience to the Davies Duke, PLLC team. He practices in the areas of and land development; zoning, planning, and land use; as well as complex transactional real estate. From single vacant lot sales and purchases to large commercial transactions, Joe works closely with clients on all aspects of real estate law. He is also experienced in homeowner, condo, and other types of real estate associations.

“Like the old joke, I got into law because I did not want to be an accountant,” Joe said. “The opportunity to collaborate with the legal professionals at Davies Duke, PLLC allows me to use the experience and knowledge gained over decades of practice.” (Accounting’s loss is certainly our gain!)

Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, Joe then attended law school in Michigan. He has called home for more than 35 years and much prefers the sunshine to the snow! Joe is a proud new grandfather who enjoys traveling to visit his grandson, daughter, and son-in-law.

Team Member Spotlight: Davies Duke, PLLC is proud to have Samantha Encalada as part of our team! As an associate attorney with the firm, she practices business law and construction litigation. Sam serves on the Board of Directors for the Lee County Association for Women Lawyers (LCAWL), which is the local chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). She is a Florida Gulf Coast University Eagle and earned her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law. Sam is mom to two young children and a fierce competitor on tennis and basketball courts. On the weekend, you can find Sam enjoying Southwest Florida's sunsets and a good romance novel. (Cheesy, but true!)
