Peter services a primary public defense contract, through the State of Vermont and the Defender General. It’s his duty to represent, aid, and defend Juveniles accused of criminal actions, and parents accused by the State and DCF of improper parenting.

On the private side of things, Peter does general practitioner work. He handles real estate sales, property disputes, lease contracts, evictions, estate planning for folks of varying ages, guardianships, and divorces. Peter has also practiced in personal injury and other civil plaintiff’s lawsuits.

Peter is happy to explore any legal issue, whatever field of law it may be in. Last, but definitely not least, by State and other applicable legal and ethical standards, Peter must clearly state in concluding this message that prior success does not guarantee any future results.

Peter Kazakis grew up in the city of Toronto as an athlete, and was drafted to the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. Peter instead chose to pursue the NCAA, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2016 from Castleton University. After earning his Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School in 2021, he clerked for Attorney and former Judge Christopher H. Howe in Fair Haven, Vermont, before becoming an associate with Furlan & Associates in February of 2022. Peter practices in family, civil, criminal, and probate court.
