January 26th is the perfect day to celebrate the incredible bond you share with your spouse—the person who stands by you through life's ups and downs.

National Spouse's Day: Why married couples in Mississippi should review beneficiary designations and powers of attorney.

Life changes—marriage, children, new assets, or even unexpected health events—can impact how your assets and decisions are handled.

In Mississippi:
Beneficiary designations (on life insurance, retirement accounts, bank accounts, etc.) often override your will. If outdated, they may not reflect your current wishes or marriage.

A durable power of attorney lets you appoint your spouse (or another trusted person) to make financial decisions if you're unable to do so—essential for protecting your shared future.

A quick review ensures your plans align with your love and commitment today. It's one of the most thoughtful ways to show you care about each other's security and peace of mind.

How are you celebrating your spouse today? Share a sweet memory or fun tradition in the comments—we love hearing from our clients! 😊

If you're ready to update these important documents or have questions about estate planning for married couples, we're here to help with a no-obligation conversation.

Wishing all the couples in Mississippi a day full of appreciation and joy.

Time Constraints Apply To These Cases
