Both parties to a divorce should feel that the process is fair and will lead to a fair outcome.

Spouses and parents need to know that the other parent is not looking to take advantage of them.

In a cooperative divorce, we do not go to court to see a Judge when there are disagreements. We sit down at the table to work out differences, even serious differences, rationally in conversations with the spouses and attorneys. We do not threaten hostile actions in court, lie about facts, be dishonest, manipulate each other, set coercive hearings, or create artificial pressures to gain advantages.

This is a process for those who do not want the hostile, costly, and destructive family law behavior that characterizes our current legal process for divorce.

Collaborative attorneys are specially trained to handle divorce cases outside of the courtroom. The attorneys educate the clients so the clients can make informed decisions that impact their children and their future.
