MOTION GRANTED ✔️ Today we went forward on an evidentiary hearing on our client’s Motion to Dismiss a family case that should have never been brought.

Our client was already legally divorced in Mexico, yet a new case was filed in Florida seeking alimony.

To properly present the case, we obtained certified copies of the Mexican proceedings, secured apostilles, and worked directly with counsel in Mexico to ensure everything was admissible before the Court.

With the right strategy, proper authentication, and strong advocacy—the Court agreed.
Motion granted. Case dismissed.

Cross-border family law issues require precision, experience, and the right approach from the start.

Spring Break is here in Palm Beach County! ☀️🌴 It started last Friday, and many families are enjoying time off, traveling, and making memories with their kids.

As a family law attorney, I often see Spring Break bring up questions for co-parents, so here are a few helpful reminders:

• Communicate travel plans in advance
• Share itineraries and emergency contact information when traveling
• Keep communication respectful and focused on the children

Mediation day. ⚖️

Today we are mediating a highly litigated paternity case that has been pending for over a year. A lot of time, energy, and attorneys’ fees have been spent getting the parties to this point.

The father’s goal is simple: more time with his children.

Last night and again this morning I prayed for clarity for everyone involved and for a resolution that truly serves the best interests of the children.

Many family law cases in Florida resolve through mediation, and today we are doing this mediation via Zoom, which allows the parties to participate from different locations while still working toward resolution. Whether mediation happens in person or virtually, the goal is always the same: helping families find solutions without the stress and cost of continued litigation.

Hoping today brings progress and peace for this family.

Today reminded me why I love what I do.

I was hired to attend mediation for a client who was incredibly nervous. She doesn’t speak English, and the idea of going through litigation was overwhelming for her. Her only goals were simple: financial support and a parenting plan for her child.

We walked into mediation prepared to protect her rights and make sure her voice was heard.

Three hours later, we walked out with an agreement. She left with the support she needed and a parenting plan in place for her child.

The relief and gratitude on her face said everything.

Moments like this are why mediation can be so powerful. When handled the right way, it can bring resolution, protection, and peace of mind.

Grateful to be able to serve and advocate for my clients.
