They may well be. But overworked deputies juggle civil process service with emergency responses, criminal investigations and public safety duties. They will not guarantee multiple attempts during early mornings, late evenings or weekends when recipients are most likely to be home.

Listen up! If you are finding us on the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) website, the distance calculator on "Find a process server" is WAYYYY off a lot of the time. They even note that distances are approximate. Don't get upset when you tell us, "you're only 18 miles from the recipient" and we correct you with the actual distance and a fee based on that distance. And another thing: yes, we have multiple NAPPS listings spread out across southwest Virginia. No, we are not being deceptive. NAPPS allows members to buy extra listings as long as they receive mail at the extra addresses (which we do). Many, many members have multiple listings.
