Lost Legacies Heir Hunters, LLC

Lost Legacies Heir Hunters, LLC We help connect heirs with money they may not even know is coming to them! Check our online reviews here: bit.ly/3SBL5MZ I look forward to working with you!

Hello, my name is Robert Paquette, founder, and owner of Lost Legacies Heir Hunters, LLC. I am a life-long resident of Southeast Michigan, along with my wife of 22 years and my 3 amazing daughters. In my previous life, before being a business owner, I was an engineer for Ford Motor Company for twenty years. Now I enjoy running my own company, spending free time outdoors, and helping my wife build

our hobby farm. We are an heir search firm, licensed by the state of Michigan to review lists of databases containing dormant accounts, such as bank accounts, unredeemed stocks, life insurance, things like that, that have gone dormant. We research the owners, who we often discover have passed away (which explains why their account has gone dormant). We then track down their heirs to alert them that there is money being held for their relative, and let them know we can assist them with claiming it. That’s what has brought you here! We appreciate that you’re taking the time to check us out. When people receive material from us, they sometimes suspect it’s a scam, and we understand you’re being cautious – we think you should be!

Got dormant accounts to handle these days? Here’s what to do:

1. Recognize: Spot dormant accounts by reviewing your financial statements. Detect early to avoid complications!
2. Reactivate: Bring accounts back to life by initiating a transaction or contacting your bank. Be ready with ID and explanations for inactivity.
3. Reach Out: For complex cases, like large sums or foreign accounts, get expert legal advice.

”Escheatment” is the process of a financial institution surrendering dormant accounts to the government due to inactivity. This means that you have effectively donated that money to your local government!

TWO REASONS YOU MIGHT NOT REALIZE YOU’VE INHERITED ASSETS:

1. Unfamiliarity with the inheritance process: Not everyone knows the legal steps involved, or can even recognize when they are entitled to a share of an estate.
2. Emotional factors: Grief from losing a loved one can overshadow awareness of financial matters, making it hard to recognize your inheritance.

If your family members don't make an effort to claim this money, dormant accounts becomes the state's possession, potentially leading to a loss if someone in your family truly needed the cash.

It's important to note that potential unclaimed assets include:

- Bank accounts
- Bonds
- Certificates of deposit
- Dividend or payroll checks
- Life insurance policies
- Retirement accounts
- Safe deposit box contents
- Stocks and securities
- Utility deposits

These assets are considered abandoned or dormant if there has been no activity in the account for a specified period, commonly three years or more.

If you think that you or someone in your family needs to recover assets that you might not be aware of, comment the word 'LEGACIES' so we can assist you.

Headstones are a great source of information we use to track down the rightful beneficiaries to dormant accounts!

This weekend Julie spent some time hunting for, cleaning and photographing headstones at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Detroit to fulfill requests submitted online by family members and researchers. As a genealogist, she relies heavily on the work of volunteers who upload and index many types of records, and headstones are valuable resources. She’s very grateful to all those who dedicate their time and efforts to this work, and felt compelled to do the same for others. The kids were a great help and look forward to volunteering for this work again. Seriously. They LOVED it.
