🚔 June 2026 Update – Blanchard Police Department 🚔

Good morning, citizens of Blanchard!

As June comes to a close, we’d like to give you a look at what your local officers have been up to while most of the town was trying to stay cool in the Louisiana heat.

📊 June by the Numbers:
• Calls for Service: 158
• Reports Written: 48
• State Crash Reports: 5
• Private Property Crashes: 4
• Arrests: 10
• DWI Arrests: 4
• Traffic Stops: 324
• Citations Issued: 116
• Total Violations: 188
• Vehicle Impounds: 12

During the month of June, Blanchard officers responded to 158 calls for service, investigated crashes, completed 48 reports, and made 10 arrests. We also conducted 324 traffic stops, which means quite a few people received an unexpected lesson on Louisiana traffic laws.

Four drivers were arrested for DWI this month. While we appreciate people supporting local businesses, we strongly recommend finding a sober ride home instead of trying out for our arrest statistics.

Twelve vehicles were impounded during the month. As a reminder, liability insurance is generally much cheaper than towing fees, storage fees, and explaining the situation to your spouse.

Our officers remain committed to keeping Blanchard safe through proactive patrol, traffic enforcement, and responding to the needs of our community. We are grateful for the support we receive from our citizens and proud to serve this great town.
