Hard as it is to believe, it will get cooler and when it does, consider a day trip to visit Orbix near Fort Payne. You can blow your own Christmas ornament choosing from an array of colors and patterns. It really is a good time and there is a small cafe in the nearby town that has a great lunch. Lookout Mountain is close should you want to do a picnic.
Blow Your Own Ornament
This is our most popular event at Orbix Hot Glass! Come design and literally “blow” your own ornament with the help of one of our glass artists. For this we welcome people of all ages (okay you have to be at least 5 years old). No reservations needed. If you have a group that is large and you would like to schedule a BYOO during the week, please call or email us for more information - 256.523.3188 or [email protected]. Cost is $38/ornament. Ornaments will have to be shipped or picked up the following week due to the annealing process of hot glass. Cost to ship up to 4 ornaments is $8.
