Wrecks are overwhelming. It can be hard to manage a crisis situation after you have been involved in a crash which may have destroyed your car or left you in a great deal of pain. Whatever the circumstances of your case, we recommend calling the police to make a crash report for the wreck. This report is very important to insurance carriers and will confirm the proper names, insurance, and contact information for everyone involved. Request names of any witnesses standing around and ask for their phone numbers. And if the other driver flees the scene, still call the police and make a report.

Happy Friday! Do you know whether or not you have Uninsured/ Underinsured Motorist benefits on your auto insurance policy? When Jaime Erdberg was hit by a drunk driver in 1995, that drunk driver had zero insurance. Thankfully, Jaime's parents had UIM coverage which provided compensation for Jaime's pain & suffering from her 4 surgeries & permanent scars. Do yourself a favor and make sure you're adequately covered. We sometimes have clients with devastating injuries and the person at fault only has the minimum limits of coverage in AL of $25k. UIM kicks in after the at-fault driver's coverage is exhausted (or if there is no insurance at all).

The moratorium on evictions is presently set to expire July 31, 2021. Jaffe & Erdberg's bankruptcy practice is here to help our clients who are facing financial difficulties, including past-due rent.

By a 5-4 vote, the court left in place the nationwide moratorium on evictions put in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The moratorium is set to expire on July 31.
