This precious family is near and dear to our hearts here at ACLL, in fact, they are the heart of ACLL.
Matt Clark was the founding CEO and President of ACLL and helped mold ACLL into what we are today. Earlier this year Matt passed the torch to his wife, Laura Clark, who continued to pour into our mission with an eager and fighting heart. We've nicknamed Laura our street fighter, because just like Matt, Laura isn't afraid to stand up for what's right and what she believes in. ACLL wouldn't be what we are today and our mission would not have been carried out as strong without these two.
Today, I ask you all to join us in prayer as they prepare to welcome their son later this week. Leave a sweet word of encouragement for these two below. ❤️

Last article before I take a break to have John.
Can we admit that even systems made with good intentions need reform sometimes?

Our Interim President, Laura Clark, speaks on the needed training in Originalism in today's 1819 News article titled Lawyers Need Better Training on Originalism.
In case you missed the former ACLL President's article on the meaning of Originalism, I'll link that below!

With such strong support for originalism, you would think schools and the bar would be training attorneys to argue their cases from this interpretation, right? Wrong! | Alabama News

Happy Constitution Day! We are so lucky in Alabama to have Justices on our high court to correctly interpret our highest governing document so unique to our country.

This Constitution Day, let's take a moment to celebrate originalism! Through its respect for the original meaning of our founding document, this approach upholds the rule of law, preserves popular sovereignty, secures individual liberties, and promotes stability in our legal system. | Alabama News

It's hard to imagine that 22 years have passed since this tragic attack on America. I think most can remember exactly where they were and the feelings that we were filled with when we heard of the attack on the first tower, and as we witnessed the second tower being hit.
God bless the men, women, and their families impacted by this attack. We will always remember.
