Today I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate two incredible women who are truly the heart behind so much of the work happening at Victim Services of Big Spring. Chavonna Parker and Lynn Creswell
Our advocates do so much for victims and families from start to finish — walking alongside individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, offering support, resources, encouragement, and a steady presence when it’s needed most.
This is not an easy job. It is heavy work. It is emotional work. And the work is never truly “finished.” Yet they continue to show up — not just during the day, but during late nights, after-hours calls, and whenever someone needs them most.
They show up with compassion.
They show up with strength.
They show up with heart.
Thank you for the countless hours, the emotional investment, the sacrifice, and the care you pour into others every single day. Our community is stronger because of you, and so many lives have been touched because you answered the call.

Tabitha Clark deserves a huge shout out! If you see her out and about, make sure to tell her how amazing she is.

Many people don’t realize just how much Tabitha does behind the scenes in our community to help those who are helping others. She never asks for recognition, never wants the spotlight — she simply rolls up her sleeves and says, “Let’s get this done.”

Her heart for serving others and willingness to jump in wherever needed does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful to call her a friend. She is truly awesome, and our community is better because of her. ❤️

We couldn’t leave out these two amazing volunteers! Lt. Amie Taft and her husband Brian Taft, owner of Tee P*e Mowing. When Amie isn’t busy helping keep our community safe, and Brian isn’t out helping someone less fortunate clean up their property, they are always willing to step in and help wherever needed.

They worked hard helping us get everything set up, walked the floors selling tickets, and jumped in to help in any area that needed an extra hand throughout the event. We are so grateful for their support, generosity, and willingness to serve our community. Thank you both for helping make our Purse Bingo event such a success! 💜

We are especially grateful to Patricia Watlington for handling all of the social media, creating the hand fans, and putting together the gift bags. Your creativity and hard work helped make the event such a success.

A huge thank you as well to Patricia and Kristen Rasco for the many hours and behind-the-scenes work you both put in. Your dedication did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you did.

Because of your generosity, excitement, and support, the event was such a wonderful success. From donating prizes and amazing sponsors to purchasing tickets and showing up ready to have fun — every contribution made a difference.

We are so grateful for everyone who helped make the night special. Seeing our community come together for laughter, friendship, and support means more than words can say.

Even when everything feels used up… there’s still something left that refuses to go out.
