This was a tragic and difficult case that involved negligent towing practices. The police report placed our client at fault. Skilled cross-examination led the defendant to repeatedly plead his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination during his deposition. Shortly thereafter, the case settled. Another challenge we overcame was internationally representing the only living heir, a Vietnamese citizen who has never been to the United States. We are very pleased with the result especially given the significant issues with this case.

We are thrilled to secure a large settlement for a very deserving client who was the victim of an off-leash dog attack that caused him to suffer a myocardial infarction (heart attack). Our client had pre-existing heart disease, which made him unusually susceptible to a heart attack. We believe this will represent the largest or one of the largest dog-related personal injury settlements of 2025 in California.

We were privileged to represent an incredible family on their pursuit of justice for the wrongful death and neglect of their loved one. These cases are very challenging because a physician must certify that the patient has 6 months or less to live. Wrongful death damages are measured by the value of life lost or life expectancy. What is the value of 6 months of life? What about when you compound that with a $250k damages cap in medical malpractice cases filed prior to 2023? These are the thorny issues we deal with when we litigate these types of cases. Prudent lawyers will place a focus on the bad acts rather than the value of 6 months of life.

This was the culmination of 3 years of intense litigation revolving around an estate that our clients were beneficiaries to. Our clients came to us when they saw a for-sale sign on their childhood home. We literally had to rush to the courthouse to file a Petition in Probate Court the very next day. After years of documentary and testimonial discovery, we proved a breach of the fiduciary duty of the trustee and stipulated to a complete and total award that was just confirmed in Probate Court. Result = our clients are the successor trustees and beneficiaries of trust composed of 2 pieces of real estate and a substantial amount of personal property still being accounted for.

Very pleased to announce a large settlement for our client who is a Navy veteran. Unfortunately, he was the victim of a serious motorcycle crash when a tourist, who is from a country that drives on the other side of the road, made an unsafe left turn in front of our client. This left our client with severe foot fractures that required two (2) separate surgeries. We are happy that he has made a near full recovery since the surgeries.

We are very pleased to have settled this case for our 2 deserving clients. As you can see, there is no visible damage to our client’s vehicle, which made this case especially challenging. However, we were able to successfully argue that our elderly client was unusually susceptible to injury because he suffered from pre-existing deep vein thrombosis that was dislodged during the collision and ultimately caused a pulmonary embolism. He has since made a full recovery.

Our clients were enjoying a beautiful day driving in the Malibu Canyon when a Mini Cooper suddenly darted into them. They were lucky it was only a Mini Cooper, this could’ve been much worse otherwise. Swipe for the accident pics.
