Last week, we hit pause on the day-to-day and spent some time celebrating our incredible spring law clerks. From teamwork in the escape room to a little friendly competition on the mini golf course, it was a well-earned break and a great way to recognize all of their hard work this semester. We’re grateful for the energy and dedication they’ve brought to the firm.

Grateful to have completed the first session of the ACTEC Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute. It’s a program that brings together estate planning attorneys from across the region for advanced training on complex topics in trusts and estates.

We’ll meet two more times throughout the year, and I’m looking forward to continuing to learn and connect with such a great group. It’s truly an honor to have been selected to participate.

So glad to have had the opportunity to speak with the Center for Nonprofit Advancement this past Friday about the fundamentals of estate planning. Educating our community on the importance of having a plan in place is something I’m truly passionate about—and conversations like these make it all the more meaningful.

✨ Meet Our Spring 2026 Law Clerks! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome two amazing future attorneys to the team this spring.

📚 Cerrin is a 2L at Howard University School of Law and hails from Blythewood, South Carolina. She earned her B.A. in Political and International Affairs from Wake Forest University and serves as a staff editor on Howard’s Human & Civil Rights Law Review. She’s also a property teaching assistant — because overachieving is her hobby. When she’s not hitting the books, you can find her tea tasting, doing Pilates, or on the pickleball court.

💼 Sara is a 2L at The George Washington University Law School concentrating in Business and Finance Law with a focus on tax. She’s a member of the Business and Finance Law Review and serves as Chair of Student Experience and Mentorship for the Tax Law Society. A proud Barnard College alum (Class of 2023) with a degree in Political Science and Human Rights, Sara balances law life by testing new recipes and soaking up quality time with her nephews.
