TALLADEGA COUNTY JURY RETURNS $1.5 MILLION VERDICT FOR WOMAN INJURED IN INTERSTATE COLLISION

TALLADEGA COUNTY, ALABAMA — On October 7, 2026, a Talladega County jury returned a $1.5 million verdict for a woman who suffered serious and permanent injuries after her vehicle was struck from behind by a commercial work truck on Interstate 20.
The collision caused fractured vertebrae, broken ribs, and herniated discs in her neck and back. She was hospitalized for nine days and continues to suffer from chronic neck and back problems, headaches, pain, and memory issues.
Trial lawyer John T. Stamps III of The Black Belt Law Group represented the client.
“This case was about more than medical bills. It was about what this collision took from our client and what she will have to live with for the rest of her life. We are thankful the Talladega County jury listened to the evidence and held the responsible party accountable,” Stamps said.
