We wrapped up the year with a fun and festive holiday outing at Topgolf, and it was the perfect way to celebrate another great year together. From friendly competition and lots of laughs to good food and even better company, it was a great reminder that our team is truly the heart of what we do.

Taking time to step away from the office and connect outside of work strengthens our collaboration, culture, and appreciation for one another. We’re grateful for such a dedicated team and the energy everyone brings every day.

This month, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Elise Stockmal, who has been an important part of KMS Law Offices for the past year.

Elise is often the first friendly face our clients see when they arrive at the office. She warmly greets every client, ensuring they feel welcome and supported from the moment they walk through our doors. Elise is always ready to step in wherever she’s needed—whether that’s assisting with client signings, organizing files and binders, or helping manage inventory for the firm. Her flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond truly make her an invaluable member of our team.

Elise joined KMS in September 2024 after graduating summa cm laude from Lynn University with a Bachelor of Science in forensic investigations. She hopes to one day pursue a career in the pathology branch of forensics, but in the meantime, we are fortunate to have her dedication and enthusiasm at KMS.

Outside of the office, Elise enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and volunteering with animal rescue groups like Forgotten Cats. Her positive energy, kindness, and strong work ethic shine through in everything she does.

With a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Marymount University and over twenty years of experience as an estates and trusts paralegal, Janelle brings unmatched expertise and compassion to every matter she handles.

Janelle wears many hats and seamlessly manages every aspect of estate administration—from communicating with clients during difficult times to ensuring all legal details are handled with care and precision. Her dedication and leadership are a vital part of what makes our team so strong.

When she’s not in the office, Janelle enjoys traveling, cycling, and spending time with her husband and their daughter.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Robert Harvey, Jr.🌟

Meet Robert, one of the friendly and knowledgeable faces behind our Estate Planning team at KMS Law Offices, LLC.

Robert joined the firm in June 2023 as an Estate Planning Paralegal and quickly became an essential part of the client experience. Often the first point of contact for new clients, Robert manages estate planning inquiries, schedules consultations, and helps ensure that each client feels informed and supported from the very start. Robert also serves as our in-house notary and oversees beneficiary designation coordination, a critical but often overlooked part of the estate planning process.

A proud graduate of West Chester University, Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies in 2022. With his sights set on law school, Robert brings passion, diligence, and a natural ability to connect with clients—skills that will undoubtedly serve him well as he continues his journey in the legal field.

When he’s not at the office, Robert enjoys reading, golfing, and spending quality time with friends and family.

We’re proud to have Robert as part of the KMS team and look forward to watching his career continue to grow!

A leader in her field, Karen was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves on its Digital Assets, Technology, and Diversity & Inclusion Committees. She’s a frequent lecturer and writer, with work published in the Philadelphia Lawyer and the Journal of Taxation, and is a contributing author to Estate Planning in Pennsylvania (PBI Press).

📢 Karen has been named a Super Lawyer in Estate Planning & Probate every year from 2020 to 2025, and was previously selected as a Rising Star (2005–2007).

Born and raised in King of Prussia, Karen holds degrees from Bucknell University, Indiana University Bloomington, and earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
