Olivia is an aspiring plaintiff-side litigator and 3L at Berkeley Law. Before law school, she worked in affordable housing policy and helped to organize tenants in support of strengthened eviction protections in San Mateo County. She spent last summer at the Oakland City Attorney's office, where she worked with the affirmative litigation department to investigate labor code violations by an Oakland employer. Olivia is also a 2026 Renne Public Law Fellow. In her spare time, she enjoys board games, hip hop, and cheesy science fiction movies.

Ian Fredrickson joins FJWW as a Summer Law Clerk. Ian is a rising 3L at Berkeley Law, where he is co-Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law, and a Graduate Student Researcher for Professor Diana Reddy.

Previously, Ian was a Summer and Fall Law Clerk for Legal Aid at Work's Community Legal Services program, and a member of Berkeley Law's Workers' Rights Clinic and moot court team. Ian graduated with a B.S. In Business Administration from UC Berkeley.

On April 20, 2026, the U.S. District Court for Minnesota granted final approval to the $84 million settlement with all Defendants in Randall, et al. v. GreatBanc Trust Co., et al. The settlement provides substantial compensation for the participants in the Wells Fargo ESOP and is the largest settlement to date of a class action lawsuit brought by private parties alleging ERISA claims involving an ESOP. Plaintiffs alleged that Wells Fargo improperly used dividends paid on the ESOP’s preferred stock to offset its employer contributions to the Wells Fargo 401(k) Plan. On February 20, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona confirmed an arbitration award in favor of Plaintiff Shana Robertson against Argent Trust Company and the family trusts that sold 30% of Isagenix Worldwide, Inc. to the Isagenix ESOP in 2018. The Arbitration Panel ruled that the Isagenix ESOP paid $38.25 million more than fair market value in the 2018 ESOP Transaction. Isagenix ESOP participants received only nominal value for their Isagenix stock when the ESOP was liquidated between 2023 and 2025. Lite Star ESOP Committee, et al. The settlement provides substantial compensation for the participants in the Lite Star ESOP, which is sponsored by B-K Lighting, Inc. Plaintiff Linna Chea alleged that the ESOP payment more than fair market value for B-K Lighting stock purchased from Douglas Hagen in 2017.
