I'm sitting in a meeting led by an FBI Special Agent and Asst. US Attorney titled Emerging Domestic Terrorism Threats. They are talking about Nihlistic Extremist groups that are targeting, grooming, recruiting and abusing our children. They get our chldren to do their bidding - including harming family, peers, pets, creating and distributing CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material), kidnapping, beating, shootings, fire-bombing... directing our children to self-harm, encourage bullying, eating disorders, etc.

How do they get to our children? They aren't snatching them up off the street or in the Walmart... they are reaching them through platforms like Discord, interacting with them online playing Roblox, Fortnight, etc.

Oh... and by the way... a great majority of the perpetrators are MINORS and they prey on minors. It's difficult to prosecute minors on a Federal level, BTW.

So.... If you are allowing your child unmonitored smart phone or internet access, you are risking far too much.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This is also known as Intimate Partner Violence "IPV" (probably more accurately), and abusers quite often control their partner's access to money.

It is DV awareness month. DV takes many forms... you may not see bruises or injuries on your neighbor, co-worker, or family member because there may not be any to see (or the physical abuser may purposely target areas of the body not readily seen), but they may not have equal control of family finances, they may not freely associate with friends and/or family, they may be "required" to account for every minute of their day: where they went, what they did, and who they spoke to in person or by phone. The key word is C O N T R O L by one partner over the other.
