Stepped-up Basis is a big part of current real estate investment and estate planning strategies, especially for farm land here in Arkansas. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US - WOODARD LAW GROUP IS 5!

To sum it up for those who don't have time to read the below - THANK YOU!

When we opened our doors in 2016, we did not know what to expect; we simply knew we were ready to start our own business and we wanted to plant our flag in downtown Bentonville.

Since that time, we have been fortunate to see tremendous growth in NWA and helped hundreds of clients (many of them on a recurring basis), including those who have had a direct impact on the incredible development around us.

A few highlights of the past 5 years at WLG:

We have assisted clients ranging from pro bono estate planning to some of the most talented real estate developers anywhere.

We have moved locations and designed an office space that fits who we are and a place we want to be. No really - it's right by Two Friends Books with one of the best little patios for coffee/beer/wine downtown.

We've tailored our practice areas to primarily business, estate planning/probate and real estate services.

We've sponsored numerous charities and events; and been fortunate to serve on boards of non-profits that are near and dear to our hearts (Go support the Red Wolves Foundation & First Tee - Northwest Arkansas).

We've built collaborative relationships with businesses and leaders in the area, including incredible lawyers and law firms who have been loyal referral or partner sources.

Most importantly, we've been blessed with three children who love to come to "their office." It will always be their office and that will never change, as can be seen by their art work hanging near our desks.

Our paralegal Rebecca Newton Kendall is insanely talented and truly as good as they come. She has been with us since we opened the doors. Our kids think of her and her family as our family; because they are.

As we celebrate where we've been the past five years, we are even more excited about our future. Because we adopted cloud-based technologies day one, we have the ability to help people anytime from anywhere - from intake to invoice. In fact, we believe the practice of law and legislature need to promote more use of technology in our field and in turn, provide better access to legal services across our state, especially in rural areas such as the delta, which is special to us. We plan to continue lobbying for that going forward.

We've been licensed in AR and TX for a combined 19 years. With our years of practice and technology, have the ability to expand our presence to additional cities & states. Simply put - we are ready to grow - by helping you grow - and we look forward to that.

Lastly - again, thank you. Thank you to everyone who has welcomed us; who has provided advice; who has trusted us for the past five years. Whether helping you form your LLC, create your estate plan or being your guide through the next real estate deal - we are incredibly grateful. We look forward to helping you in the many years to come.

We are incredibly blessed to live in the greatest country in the world and appreciate all of those who have sacrificed, and continue to sacrifice, so we can enjoy all of our freedoms.
