WHY BANKRUPTCY?
Bankruptcy gives to the honest but unfortunate debtor, who surrenders for distribution the property which he owns at the time of bankruptcy, a new opportunity in life and a clear field for future effort, unhampered by the pressure and discouragement of preexisting debt. Stellwagen v. Clum, 245 U. S. 605, 245 U. S. 617.

If you or someone you know needs a new opportunity in life in a clear field for future effort, give Yates Law Office a call 855-525-3529 to schedule a confidential consultation either in person or by phone.

A Little About Me

I started helping people in 1990 when I joined my local volunteer fire department. When the alarm sounded, I never knew what I was heading into, but I knew somebody needed help. In the following years I transitioned from volunteer to career firefighter and stepped up from EMT to Paramedic. Despite those changes, I always knew that when the alarm sounded, somebody needed help. After almost 20 years in fire and EMS, I made the decision to start helping people in other ways and went to law school. While in law school, I continued to work as a Paramedic. Part of that role was as a Flight Paramedic with Air Evac where the calls we got were the worst of the worst. When we got called, people needed help just to stay alive.

When I entered the practice of law, I realized it was not much different than being an emergency responder. People came to me on their worst day and they needed help. Sometimes that help was just to draft a will or convey some property, but other times, so much more was on the line and they expected me to attack their issues with the same level of expertise and aggression as I fought fires or treated critically ill and injured patients.

In my 17 years of practicing law, I have worked to combine the legal education and experience I have gained with the compassion and understanding I developed in my years of caring for patients and their loved ones. If you are facing legal issues, put our "Advocacy with Understanding" to work for you.

Television depicts the greatest victories for attorneys being when the verdict is read in favor of their client. Equally victorious for me is when a client brings a hand-made piece of art as a display of their gratitude for helping them in their time of need. In the past month, our office received a stained-glass piece crafted by one client and a cross medallion crafted by another client using nails.

Developing lasting relationships with clients is like being in the SEC, "It Just Means More!"
