At this time, we don’t have any additional information about the program beyond what has been stated on the news. We are waiting for the Department of Homeland Security to provide more detailed instructions on who qualifies and how to apply. Bilingual Administrative Assistant, English/Spanish (Bellingham/Mount Vernon, WA)
Harrison and Pai, PLLC is a growing immigration law firm, with offices in Bellingham and Mount Vernon, WA, handling a broad range of immigration cases. We seek an experienced receptionist/administrative assistant.
This position requires direct client interaction and collaboration with colleagues. Previous experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a law firm is preferred. However, we are willing to train the right person.
Harrison and Pai, PLLC handles both detained and non-detained removal defense, bond representation, family-based and employment-based immigrant petitions, business and employment visas, humanitarian relief (asylum, VAWA, U Visas), citizenship and naturalization, and appeals work.
Requirements
• Fluency in English and Spanish required. Knowledge of Mam or Mixtec, in addition to Spanish, is highly desired
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, GoogleDrive, and experience with databases
• Superb written and oral communication skills including cultural competence and cross-cultural communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to travel between Mount Vernon and Bellingham office preferred.
Duties Include
• Answering a busy phone line and communicating with callers in English and Spanish
• Assistance with scheduling attorney meetings
• Filing and File management
• Processing client payments
• Maintaining regular correspondence with clients
