30-Day Extension for 2021 Real Estate Taxes Second Installment

Due to the historic flooding in July throughout the Metro East, my office has worked with Chairman Mark Kern and the County Board to extend the second installment due date for 2021 real estate taxes to Saturday, October 1, 2022. The second installment of real estate taxes was originally due on Thursday, September 1.

In addition, the Treasurer’s Office will be open for special hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, for residents wishing to pay in person.

As our community continues to recover from the record rainfalls in July, pushing back the second installment due date is common sense. This extension will provide extra time and relief to property owners in need of additional assistance.
