We are often asked about Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Many of our clients ask us about this with great anxiety. So, we’d like to share with you this video of our family member at 88 years old and suffering with Alzheimer’s. While she could be at home alone, unable to properly care for herself, instead, she’s having the time of her life while being properly cared for in one of Beaumont’s finest assisted living facilities, Pelican Bay Assisted Living. While change is uncomfortable and scary at times, sometimes it is the best thing we could ever ask for for our loved ones. Shout out to Courtney King at Best Hospice for the awesome job emceeing this wonderful event!

After graduating from Lamar University in 1973, Port Arthur native and TJ graduate, Randy Drewett, headed to Houston, where he attained his law degree in 1977. For over 25 years, Randy has devoted his law practice to assisting the elderly folks of our community as the only attorney in Texas to hold both a board certification in Elder Law* and an LL.M. (advanced law degree) in Elder Law.** He is also board certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law.*** Many people know Randy as the “radio lawyer” answering Elder Law questions on KLVI with Al Caldwell for over 18 years.
