I'm exploring a 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐒𝐃 and looking to connect with others who may be interested in partnering on a future school-based mentoring initiative.
I have extensive experience supporting clients with responding to and winning institutional contracts, and I'm currently reviewing this opportunity to determine whether it aligns with my organization's mission and long-term goals.
Over the next week, I'll be reviewing the RFP in detail to better understand the requirements, deliverables, and partnership opportunities. If I decide to move forward, I will host an information session for those interested in exploring a potential partnership.

One of the biggest misconceptions in government contracting is that the first step is finding opportunities.

It's not.

The first step is being ready for them.

If you're interested in subcontracting, prime contractors are looking for more than enthusiasm. They want to know:

✔ Is your business legally established?
✔ Do you have relevant past performance?
✔ Are you properly registered?
✔ Do you have the required insurance and credentials?

In my latest article, I break down five things every business should have in place before pursuing subcontracting opportunities.

Because the goal isn't simply to find opportunities.

The goal is to be ready when one finds you.

I was listening to something recently about weight loss.

The man said, “𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.”

Simple enough.

But then he said something that really made me pause:

“𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.”

That stayed with me. So I thought about 𝙩𝒆𝙖𝒎𝙞𝒏𝙜 𝙞𝒏 𝒄𝙤𝒏𝙩𝒓𝙖𝒄𝙩𝒊𝙣𝒈.
