We are pleased to report Craig's official CERTIFICATION as South Carolina Family Court Mediator, approval granted by the South Carolina Supreme Court's committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. We are thus available for hire to Mediate any matter before the Family Courts (and Mediation is mandatory in contested cases) and can be appointed by the Judges in any case where the parties have not agreed on a different Mediator. Please consider our office if Mediation is required, even if you are representing yourself, and our office can be a neutral site for this to take place. We look forward to serving the public in this enhanced role, as well as continuing to serve our clients as Attorney

Today, we finished off an admittedly uncontested divorce; the case was filed February 23rd and went to Final Hearing yesterday, a case taking only about 9 weeks, start to finish. Proceedings don't have to be drawn out and our client was pleased with the modest fee. We hope we can be of assistance to you, next!

Today we achieved a Hardship Discharge in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy...which is like declaring Bankruptcy while IN Bankruptcy...difficult to obtain. Our clients are good people who had bad luck and could no complete their Plan, but the Judge is discharging them anyway, based on the circumstances. This ends a four year relationship with this couple and we enjoyed guiding them through the long process.

A good day in Chapter 13, Tuesday, reaching agreement where our clients, because they'd been in their Mobile Home loan over 910 days, will be able to completely pay for their house in full, at 5.25% interest in 58 months; if they just paid monthly, per their Mortgage, they'd end up, 22 years from now, paying over FOUR times more for the house, plus 10.2% interest. We love saving peoples' homes over here.

Successful Rule to Show Cause/Unpaid Child Support defense yesterday, the Judge took our case dead last on the docket, but then apologized for the delay, but I replied that "on some dockets you WANT to go last----the Jail is already full now!"
