For generations, East Carteret and West Carteret have shared one of Carteret County’s favorite rivalries — and when the Mullet Bucket is on the line, you can bet everyone has picked a side! 💙💛🏆

Here at Wheatly Law Group, we have proud graduates from both East Carteret and West Carteret, and we thought it was only fitting to show a little school spirit before the big game!

We may wear different colors, cheer from opposite sides of the field, and disagree about exactly where that Mullet Bucket belongs…but when we walk through the doors of our office, we’re one team.

That’s one of the things we love about Carteret County. A good rivalry can last for generations, but at the end of the day, we’re still neighbors, friends, coworkers and one community.

We couldn’t be happier for my son, Aaron as he begins this exciting new chapter as a homeowner in beautiful Beaufort, North Carolina! 🏡❤️ A huge thank you to the McCall Vick Real Estate Team (Donald McCall, Alison Marie Vick) for doing such a wonderful job selling his property in Craven County and helping him find the perfect home here in Carteret County. Their professionalism, hard work, and dedication made the entire process a great experience. We are so grateful—and so excited to have him calling Beaufort home!

It is with a great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Dale Griffin. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dale’s family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. May they find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in the love and support of our community in this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Griffin family as they mourn this tremendous loss.

Nash County is deeply saddened by the passing of Dale Griffin, Nash County’s Emergency Medical Services Director.

Dale was a dedicated EMS professional and an invaluable member
of Nash County Emergency Services for many years. He was also a friend to all, someone whose commitment to serving others, leadership, and kindness made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working with him.

Dale’s contributions to Nash County and the people he served will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his career.
