Celebrating 5 years of blood, sweat, tears and Glory! Our firm obtained a $225K settlement for our client!!!!! All (and I mean ALL) glory goes to the good of our Client, who loves the Lord! We got everything that she wanted and more! Hope Fricke couldn’t have done it without you!

This case was definitely my biggest, hardest, stressful , steadfast civil litigation in 24 years of practice! Definitely David vs. Golitah. Our firm squared off with the USDOJ, numerous Goliaths and the ex-husband, whom our client loved dearly (until he blew up thier lives by committing several federal prescription fraud crimes).

I have a gut feeling that the US DoJ is NOT finished building cases against additional co-conspirators! As my Great Grandmother Annie DiPrima Canova taught me: “God dont sleep and every dog has their day!” Psalms 121:4-5 TPT — He will never slumber nor sleep; He is the Guardian for His people … Yahweh Himself watches over His people; He's always by our sides to shelter us in His presence. And: Romans 12:19-21 King James Version (KJV): “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will recompense saith the Lord. Therefore, if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head!”
Romans 12:19 KJV

Bravo: Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo!!!! This LM post is for all of our ME 2 Followers. COMMENTS AND DISCUSSION ENCOURAGED!

PRESS RELEASE —- LOS ANGELES (AP) — (Judge Olmedo sentenced “That ’70s Show” star Danny Masterson to 30 years to life in prison Thursday for the r**es of two women two decades ago.

Danny Masterson and his wife Bijou Phillips … (Moi: who, in her press photo walking with her hubby arm in arm to closing arguments looks way to happy; I suppose she is happy that she will be rid of him?!)

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo handed down the sentence to the 47-year-old Masterson after hearing statements from the women about the trauma they experienced and the suffering caused by the disturbing memories in the years since.

The actor, who has been in custody since May, sat in court wearing a suit. Masterson watched the women without visible reaction as they spoke.

“When you r***d me, you stole from me,” said one woman who Masterson was convicted of ra**ng in 2003. “That’s what r**e is, a theft of the spirit.”

“You are pathetic, disturbed and completely violent,” she said. “The world is better off with you in prison.”

RELATED: Judge Olmedo ruled that 3 accusers could speak at actor Danny Masterson’s r**e sentencing hearing.

The other woman Masterson was found guilty of ra**ng said that ‘he has not shown an ounce of remorse for the pain he caused.” She told the judge, “I knew he belonged behind bars for the safety of all the women he came into contact with. I am so sorry, and I’m so upset. I wish I’d reported him sooner to the police.”

After an initial jury failed to reach verdicts on three counts of r**e in December and a mistrial was declared, prosecutors retried Masterson on all three counts earlier this year.

This time, a jury of seven women and five men found Masterson guilty of two counts on May 31 after seven days of deliberations. Both attacks took place in Masterson’s Hollywood-area home in 2003, when he was at the height of his fame on the Fox network sitcom “That ’70s Show.”

They could not reach a verdict on the third count, an allegation that Masterson also r***d a longtime girlfriend. They had voted 8-4 in favor of conviction.

The judge sentenced the actor after rejecting a defense motion for a new trial that was argued earlier Thursday.

“Mr. Masterson, I know that you’re sitting here steadfast in your claims of innocence, and thus no doubt feeling victimized by a justice system that has failed you,” Olmedo told Masterson before handing down the sentence. “But Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim here. Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s voice, and choice. One way or another you will have to come to terms with your prior actions, and their consequences.”

The defense sought to have sentences for the two convictions run simultaneously, and asked for a sentence of 15 years to life. The prosecution asked for the full 30 years to life sentence Masterson was eligible for.

“It’s his life that will be impacted by what you decide today,” Masterson’s lawyer Shawn Holley told the judge before the sentencing. “And the life of his 9-year-old daughter, who means the world to him, and to whom he means the world.”

“He has lived an exemplary life, he has been an extraordinary father, husband, brother, son, co-worker and community servant,” Holley said.

Prosecutors alleged that Masterson used his prominence in the Church of Scientology — where all three women were also members at the time — to avoid consequences for decades after the attacks.

The women blamed the church for their hesitancy in going to police about Masterson. They testified that when they reported him to Scientology officials, they were told they were not r***d, were put through ethics programs themselves, and were warned against going to law enforcement to report a member of such high standing.

The church said in a statement after the verdict that the “testimony and descriptions of Scientology beliefs” during the trial were “uniformly false.”

“The Church has no policy prohibiting or discouraging members from reporting criminal conduct of anyone — Scientologists or not — to law enforcement,” the statement said.

Masterson did not testify, and his lawyers called no witnesses. The defense argued that the acts were consensual, and attempted to discredit the women’s stories by highlighting changes and inconsistencies over time, which they said showed signs of coordination between them.

The women whose testimony led to Masterson’s conviction said that in 2003, he gave them drinks and that they then became woozy or passed out before he violently r***d them.

Olmedo allowed prosecutors and accusers to say directly in the second trial that Masterson drugged the women, while only allowing the women to describe their condition in the first.

Masterson was not charged with any counts of drugging, and there was no toxicology evidence to back up the assertion. The issue could be a factor in a planned appeal from the defense of Masterson’s conviction.

The Associated Press does not typically name people who say they’ve been sexually abused.

Masterson starred with Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Topher Grace in “That ’70s Show” from 1998 until 2006.

He had reunited with Kutcher on the 2016 Netflix comedy “The Ranch,” but was written off the show when a Los Angeles Police Department investigation was revealed the following year.

While that investigation began before a wave of women shook Hollywood with stories about Harvey Weinstein in October 2017, the conviction and sentencing of Masterson still represents a major era success for Los Angeles prosecutors (and the World), along with the conviction of Weinstein himself last year.”

Gwenth, you geaux lady in your royal blue best!!! What a class act! “An the award for the greatest Ice Princess goes to Gwneth Paltrow!!!!!” Oh my gawsh, how she kept that face the same and held in her emotions: GoLdEn!!!! The Plaintiff’s Inflated Ego and lies hung him with most of the jury at: “After the ski collision didn’t you go diving? Yes, 2 or 3 times! Didn’t you go to Germany? Did you go to X? Didnt you go to Y? Didn’t you go to Z!” and on and on and on. Every Answer: “YeS!!!” The rest of the jury: Couldn’t miss Dr. Gold Digger smugness during closing arguments. He was so ego inflated - he looked high! What a stikzo. Amd it didnt go unnoticed by the Jury!

Final words for today: Perfect exit Gweneth. Perfect! “I wish you the best!!!!” YES! YES! YES!

Dr. WhatchamacallIt thought that she was being nice to me. Bidding him a kind good bye …. haaaah haaah … NOPE NoTTA - FYI: That was the proper bi**ch way to say:

“And you were so sure that this Trial was your ticket to fame and fortune! Go To Heck You Dumb Butt stupid man! I wish your poor Butt the best!”

And, Gweneth left the building with the style and class of a proper lady! And met her sweet hubby somewhere lovely and private to throw back some Boërl & Kroff Magnum 1996 whilst doing the happy dance!!!!!

A jury sided with actor Gwyneth Paltrow, deciding she was not at fault for a 2016 ski accident with a retired Utah optometrist who sustained broken ribs and a concussion after the fall.

I called it! Guilty! Now, comes the appeal and the Trial court will be reversed! No way that much character evidence should have been allowed in!!!! It was NOT necessary!!!!!

Just on the circumstantial evidence minus his lies, plus his mouth on the stand — he would’ve been convicted!

Instead, he was convicted because he’s a liar! The prosecutor actually argued liar liar liar to the jury! Clear reversible error!

No matter how you feel about him, allowing character evidence in, in a murder trial is bad law!

Mardaugher’s attorney needs to sn**ch him up! He is literally having a stare down with the jury!!

02/28/2023

I would give anything to have Judge in SC v Mardaugh demeanor! I mean he is so laid back, yet speaks with such authority! What do you think?

02/24/2023

Whose watching the State of SC v Alex Mardaugh trial on Court TV or Youtube?????

What do ya’ll think? Me GUILTY, Guilty, Guilty!

But First, Motive — come on now — Alex testified today that Mrs. Mardaugh owned 75 % of the equity in their two homes! Now lets think about that . . . she knew Alex needed to borrow against the houses to get himself out of his lawyer bind! She had enough and absolutely refused to sign any loans or mortgages using the homes as collateral! The Maggies staying in Edelstone to remodel the house for July 4 party —- nonsense! they were separated — thats why she left her wedding ring in her car! Her biggest mistake was feeling sorry for her no good husband and rushing home to be with Alex because he needed her??? BS! I also think that Paul was NEVER supposed to be caught in Alex’s cross hair!!!!!

Here is my prediction: Jury finds him guilty of 2nd - maybe first degree, murder of his wife and son and THE FIX is on! All of that character evidence being allowed in at trial is not a mistake! On appeal, his convictions will be overturned! The State will not retry Alex and come out looking good. And, Alex’s House of Cards does not fall yet!

Life is stranger than fiction!

OK what are yalls theories?

US Supreme Court upholds expulsion of Mexican immigrants Statue (Title 42) — for now! Pictured below is from December 22, 2022 - immigrants hanging out at the Mexican US border!

A country without borders is no country at all!

For nearly three years, the Title 42 public health law has allowed the U.S. to quickly expel hundreds of thousands of migrants to Mexico.
