Another update from the IRS… Electronically filed without direct deposit information? Notice CP53E will arrive in your mailbox with instructions for updating your bank information in your irs.gov account AND notifying you there will be a delay of up to six weeks to receive your refund. They specifically state that phone operators are unable to make any changes to bank information. Check out the Modern Payments section on irs.gov for more information.
