This lake house has given me something I didn’t even realize how badly I needed…peace, rest, and a little solitude from my usually very busy world.
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m slowly making it feel like home, and I’m so excited to see what it becomes when it’s finally finished.
Tucked away in St. Francisville, about an hour from Baton Rouge, it feels like the perfect little escape without having to go very far. The community has its own beach area where we can swim, picnic, barbecue, fish, kayak, paddleboard, water ski… or just sit by the water and do absolutely nothing.
There’s something about being out here that makes life feel a little slower and quieter.
For now, here’s a little mini tour of the kitchen and where things stand today. I have lots of plans for this place, but I’m also really enjoying the process of watching it slowly come together. 🏡✨
