Honored to attend Louisiana’s first statewide Disaster Law Collaboration Summit, hosted by Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) and the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA). It has been my privilege to work with these organizations in the LIFT Flood Proof Incubator Project to increase access to legal representation and provide disaster legal assistance to disaster survivors.

Attorneys Gwendolyn Collins-Greenup and Lacie Lemoine Dauzat have joined Flood Proof, a project of the LSBA’s LIFT legal incubator program! The two new attorneys met with Amy Duncan (LSBA ATJ), Chris Pierce and Elena Perez (Southeast Louisiana Legal Services - SLLS) at the Baton Rouge Bar Association to learn about the devastation of the 2016 flood, the training and resources provided in the Flood Proof program, and what to expect over the next 18 months.
