Unfortunately, the IRS did not increase the contribution limit for traditional IRAs in 2022. You can still contribute up to $6000 (or $7000 if you're 50+) if you're eligible, which, based on income and other criteria, could lower your income tax burden for the year.

With the new year right around the corner, we thought we'd share how the IRS is changing the retirement plan contribution limits in 2022.
First up: SIMPLE IRAs.

Having your taxes prepared and filed is essential, but are yours done as a historical documentation process (just to get your return or pay the piper) or by someone who is a "deduction bloodhound"?
There is no need to miss ANY tax deductions. It is also important to look for ways you can create future deductions. We pride ourselves in every dollar that gets knocked off your return... so mush so Jason does a jig! 🥳

According to caring.com's 2021 Wills survey (https://bit.ly/3rdoztN), there are 4 top reasons people don't have a will.
Here are our responses to them:
1. You haven't gotten around to it. ⏳ -> We make it easy for you! The initial work is via phone and email, and we have an in person ex*****on meeting that's under an hour to finalize everything.
2. You don't have enough assets to leave anyone. -> You may not have much, but if you have kids 👶, having a will is VERY important to protect them if you're gone.
3. It is too expensive to set up. -> We know money doesn't grow on trees. 🌲 Thankfully, in Louisiana, a Civil Law Notary Public is also able to create wills at a much more affordable rate than an attorney.
4. You don't know how to get a will. -> We do! Reaching out to us is the first step. 😉
And if you're nerdy like we are, you might find these stats interesting. 🤓

**The above discussion is intended to be for educational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice. If you need assistance beyond the scope of a Louisiana Civil Law Notary Public or Enrolled Agent, you should seek the advice of an attorney.**

Having a Last Will & Testament is not just for the super wealthy or even just for people with lots of insurance. If you have kids, having a will is very important. In your will, you can name a guardian ("tutor") for your kids in the event you aren't around anymore. Instead of the court deciding who cares for your kids, shouldn't you get to?
