Studies show a large spike in auto accidents during the holiday season. There are more impaired drivers on the road and drivers are more likely to be in a rush and distracted.

Allow yourself plenty of time to travel and shop this holiday season and try to avoid driving during the hours of 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. when most drunk drivers are on the road.

Despite Louisiana law that states that you must have a policy of auto insurance on your vehicle, there are a lot of uninsured drivers on the road today. Protect yourself by carrying uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM) coverage on your vehicle. That way, if you are hit by an uninsured or underinsured driver, you can collect from your insurance company to help pay for medical bills and pain and suffering. Check your auto insurance policy today to make sure you have UM. “Full coverage” is not enough.
