A few years ago, I was called into action to help Afghan refugees just as the Taliban took control of their country. It was a whirlwind of sleepless nights, strategy sessions, emergency filings, and racing against the clock—but it was so, so worth it.
It remains one of those experiences that reminds me why I became an immigration attorney in the first place: sometimes this work is more than paperwork and legal arguments. Sometimes, it can change the entire course of someone’s life.
