Over the weekend, Tucker Law Group had the privilege of sponsoring a team at the 1st Annual Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament & Lobster Feed. We were honored to support an event benefiting community initiatives. Our team, which included Partner Travis Rackliffe, even took home an impressive 4th-place finish!

A special thank-you to the Knights of Columbus for hosting such a wonderful event, and to all of the participating teams and sponsors who helped make it a success. We’re grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support local causes!

Once again, Tucker Law Group had the pleasure of playing and sponsoring the annual Richard May & Warren Rand Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the RandMay Foundation. We had a great day alongside fellow golfers raising funds that help local children and families.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who participated in making this year's tournament such a success. We're honored to support the RandMay Foundation and the important work it does in our community.

At Tucker Law Group, we are dedicated to keeping our clients informed about changes that can affect their operations and compliance obligations for workers' compensation matters. Recently, the Board has published two new forms and updated several others, along with the announcement of the new State Average Weekly Wage, which went into effect on July 1, 2026. If you have any questions regarding these updates, please feel free to reach out to any of our experienced attorneys to discuss.

New State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW):

As of July 1, 2026, the new State Average Weekly Wage is $1,249.12. The maximum compensation rate for injuries occurring on or after January 1, 2020 will be set at $1,561.40 for the payment period extending from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The multiplier for COLA purposes is 1.04194054.

New and Updated WCB Forms:

The updated forms will be effective starting June 1, 2026; however, they will not be mandatory until September 1, 2026. In addition to the forms that were updated, the Board has also published two new, optional forms (WCB-2.1 Comparable Wages and WCB-3A One-Time Memorandum of Payment. It's that time of year again! Our team is back tending the garden in front of Blaze as part of the Adopt-a-Garden program in Downtown Bangor each spring. While we may not be master gardeners any time soon, we take pride in doing our part to help keep our downtown vibrant and welcoming for everyone who lives, works, and visits here.

It has been a busy week full of community engagement and friendly competition, all for good causes! This past weekend, Tucker Law Group was honored to be a sponsor as well as a participant in a golf tournament benefiting the Belfast Area High School Boosters. (We even landed in third place!) We’re grateful for opportunities like these to support local initiatives and connect outside the office We're already looking forward to the next event!

Whether it was skill, luck, or maybe a little of both, the Tucker Law Group team came out on top at yesterday’s Kids' Chance of Maine Co****le Tournament. Led by our very own Joshua Birocco and Travis Rackliffe, the team brought home the trophy with an impressive first-place finish. We’re proud to have been part of such a successful and impactful evening to help fund educational opportunities for the children of Maine’s injured workers.

Last month, Attorney Joshua Birocco helped lead the Legal Year in Review panel, which offered insightful information regarding Appellate Division decisions in 2025. Using a series of engaging fact patterns and audience polling questions, Attorney Birocco focused his portion largely on the recent decisions which affect the compensability of death benefits.
