In addition to the preparation of Wills, Irrevocable and Revocable Trusts, and Advance Directives, she also advises clients on issues of estate, gift and income taxation and planning for asset protection in the event long-term nursing home care is needed for a loved one. Karin’s practice also includes the administration and informal and judicial settlement of estates and trusts. Her experience covers both simple and complex estates and trusts, traditional and nontraditional families, contested and uncontested matters and representation before the New York courts, New York State and Federal tax tribunals and the Department of Social Services. In addition, Karin is a frequent lecturer and author of a variety of trusts and estates topics for professional organizations and the general public. She is also the author of a chapter on revocable trusts in the New York State Bar Association’s legal treatise, Estate Planning and Will Drafting. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Maureen’s Hope Foundation, the Development Board for the Central New York Community Foundation and is Vice President of the Baldwinsville Harriers Booster Club. Karin is a graduate of the State University of New York Albany (B.A. 1992), Western New England College School of Law (J.D. 1995) and Syracuse University College of Law (LL.M. She is admitted to practice in New York State. Karin is an avid runner and triathlete who enjoys life in Baldwinsville with her husband, Joel, and two sons. When she is not in the office, she is on the sidelines of a cross country race, a track & field event, a basketball court or the baseball field.
