🫣 Not sure I could sell this one, folks. We had better get a hold of zoning or you can expect to see more examples like this around the area. When your investment in a home gets overtaken by a lack of properly zoned "improvements" then you'll start to take notice...and your objections will be too late.
Call it the "affordability" push or whatever you wish, but expect to see more of these oddities as people start pushing these expansive additions in the name of fairness and affordability.
And when that happens, your nice neighborhood is on the slippery slope to becoming a slum.
Rant over.
Tell me how anyone is supposed to live next door to this.
A three story mega-addition dumped right into a quiet Virginia suburb because one family wanted more space for multigenerational living.
Again, taking care of family is great.
But not when it destroys the look, feel and value of the entire neighborhood.
If this popped up next to my home, I’d lose my mind.
I’d be at every meeting.
Calling every official.
Pushing back until someone explained how this giant structure got a green light.
Homeownership is one of the biggest investments most people ever make.
You should be allowed to protect it.
