If your organization’s financial 💵 flex 💪 can be explained with the sentence, “Don’t worry, Robyn knows how it works👍,” this post is for you.
And honestly, Robyn may be fantastic🤷♂️
Here’s the deal Y’all:🃏💳💵
Your treasurer is probably a wonderful person. 😊
Your booster club president is probably a wonderful person. 😊
The mom with the debit card, Venmo password, checkbook, bank statement, and login to everything; fo’ sho’ an **exceptionally** wonderful 👍 person.
*That’s also the problem😱*
Brian Leitch and I are getting together Saturday morning, October 24, to talk about something that sounds painfully😴 boring but really isn’t 🙂↔️:
**How do good organizations 💗protect wonderful people from bad systems?**
This is for booster clubs, PTOs, Fair Boards, youth sports, nonprofits, church/community groups, boards, treasurers, coaches, and basically any organization where somebody has ever said:
> “Oh, Robyn handles all that.”
We’re going to talk about real-life situations, simple financial controls, warning signs, cash, debit cards, reimbursements, bank statements and what happens when the person who knows how everything works suddenly isn’t there anymore.
No accounting degree required.
No lawyer-speak if I can help it.
No sales pitch.
**And it’s FREE.**
📅 Saturday, October 24
⏰ 9:00–11:00 a.m.
📍 Community Learning Center, Kendallville
Bring your board. Bring your treasurer. Bring the person who keeps asking uncomfortable questions.
**Especially bring the person nobody wants asking uncomfortable questions.**
Good controls aren’t about distrusting good people.
They’re about protecting them.
And if your organization does good things for kids or our community, we’d really 🙏 like to help you keep doing them.
**Please share this.**
There are a whole lot of small organizations in Northeast Indiana doing important work with very little administrative support, and this morning is for them.
See you there & bring Robyn. Robyn has all the passwords.
