The Supreme Court have a decision by Spring 2020. If DACA is rescinded, most DACA recipients are likely to be able to keep their 2 year protection until President Trump or his Democratic successor takes the oath of office in January 2021.
With that said, DREAMers, MAKE SURE YOU RENEW YOUR DACA WITHIN 120 to 150 days, essentially 4 to 5months, BEFORE IT EXPIRES!

U.S. District Court judge William Alsup ordered the administration to resume accepting renewal applications for DACA. Unless halted by a higher court, the ruling will allow former DACA recipients who failed to renew by an October 5 deadline a chance to submit renewal applications and will also require the administration to allow renewal of applications expiring in the future. The decision does not require officials to accept new applications for DACA status.

President Trump has announced his support for Senate Bill 354: RAISE Act. This bill would reduce the number of family-sponsored immigrants. Currently, U.S. citizens and permanent residents can “sponsor” other family members for citizenship, such as adult children, parents, siblings, and fiancé. The RAISE Act would retain only two categories for sponsorship: spouses and unmarried minor children. Under this new bill, US Citizens and permanent residents could no longer petition for their parents, siblings, or fiance.

CALL TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT: 512-687-6228

If this bill passes, it would be much more difficult to bring in your family members from abroad. If you are interested in petitioning for your family members outside of the U.S., we encourage you to do it TODAY. DO NOT WAIT! If this bill becomes law you may not be able to do so anymore.
