We are pleased to announce that Larry Schaubhut Jr. has joined Key Law Office as a Partner and will serve as the Managing Attorney of our Buda location.
Larry brings more than 32 years of experience in family law and a deep understanding of the Central Texas legal community. His commitment to this practice area is rooted in a family legacy - his father, Larry Schaubhut, was a widely respected family law attorney who served clients in Central Texas for more than five decades.
A native of Austin, Larry earned his degree in Finance from Texas State University after attending the University of Texas. Prior to practicing law, he built a diverse professional background in real estate acquisition, mortgage lending, and regulatory work, including serving as a testifying rate analyst for the Texas Water Commission (TNRCC). He later earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, graduating in 1993.
As Managing Attorney of the Buda office, Larry will oversee daily operations, mentor attorneys and staff, and continue providing thoughtful, effective representation in complex family law matters. His experience, judgment, and steady leadership make him exceptionally well-suited to guide one of the firm’s most important locations.
Larry is also deeply committed to public service. He has served as past president of the Manchaca Fire Department and the Hays High School Athletic Booster Club. He and his wife, Melanie Warner Schaubhut, have two children, Jaxson and Alex, both graduates of Hays High School.
Larry’s addition to the partnership reflects our continued focus on strong leadership, local roots, and long-term stability for our clients and our firm.
