This weekend our team attended the Administer Justice Conference, centered on the theme of Breaking Down Barriers. We were inspired by Bruce Strom and other speakers, and encouraged by connecting with attorneys, volunteers, and Justice Center teams committed to bringing hope and justice to vulnerable people.

Administer Justice is a faith-based legal aid ministry providing free legal help, hope, and dignity to those in need. Our team returned encouraged and equipped with new ideas to better serve our community.

A few statistics shared at the conference were especially impactful:
- 150 million civil legal matters arise each year
- 1 in 3 people cannot afford a lawyer
- 46 million Americans are turned away from legal help annually
- 40% of U.S. counties have little or no access to a lawyer
- 92% of legal issues facing low-income Americans are not fully addressed

These aren’t just numbers; they represent people facing real challenges without guidance or support.

At our legal clinics, our hope is simple: that every neighbor feels welcomed, valued, and cared for when they arrive, and leaves with peace, dignity, and a path forward.

Our prayer is that in the next 25 years, there will be an Administer Justice center in every state, expanding access to justice while making Christ known through service and compassion.

The justice gap is real, and more volunteers and attorneys are needed to help meet the need. Whether you want to serve, support, or simply learn more, we invite you to get involved.

Interested in volunteering or learning more? Visit administerjustice.org or send us a message, we’d love to connect.

✨ Volunteer Day ✨

Today I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve once again with Administer Justice - Aurora Legal Clinic, where volunteers and attorneys come together each month to offer free legal guidance and prayer to those in need.

It’s hard to believe I’ve been volunteering here for five years, and every clinic still reminds me why I love being part of this mission. Helping people find hope, peace, and direction through compassion and faith is truly a blessing.

Seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 ⚖️✝️❤️

Today we gathered for our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, and what a blessing it was!

We are so blessed by the Administer Justice volunteers who give their time, compassion, and hearts to serve others. You bring hope, dignity, and love into every interaction, and truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” – Isaiah 1:17 ✝️

This breakfast was just a small way of saying thank you for all that you do. We appreciate each one of you, including those who could not make it!

I have been listening to peoples' stories over the last number of years (I have no idea how long) who have "found God" (or however you want to describe it). I have slowly categorized them and added them to my blog. They are subjective and anecdotal, but the volume of them reveals patterns that suggest more than anecdotal subjectivity. I pull on one thread in that pattern in this piece. I have been thinking about finding and pulling on other threads in that pattern, but that will have to wait for more time and the inclination to do it.

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 2 Corinthians 3:16 Paul, the First Century Hebrew of Hebrews, wrote the statement above. He knew what he was talking about. Before a personal en…
